PLAIDS

LOOKBOOK

Checkmate

Plaid has been a talk of the fashion town ever since 2019 began. It has been everywhere- runways, editorials, airport looks, promotional appearances and what not.

One of the easiest ways to dip a toe into this massive plaid fever is via a cool pair of plaid pants. Yes, a PLAID PANTS is all you need to ace your style game this year. It is amazing, how these pants make up for an incredibly versatile piece that goes with anything and everything be it a crisp white button-down or a casual graphic tee.

I chose to style it with the former- A CRISP WHITE SHIRT. A crisp white button-down is a classic that most of us have in our wardrobes already, if not- you can dig in your father’s wardrobe and find yourself one. I absolutely love both these pieces- the white shirt and the plaid pants go so well together. To give my look a slightly edgy twist, I’ve tucked one half of the shirt and left the other half hanging out.

For accessories, I have my Ray Ban’s on along with these dainty gold chains that add extra oomph with that buttoned up collar. Also, not too miss my earrings that belong to the same black and white checkered family as my pants.

My Charles and Keith heels match perfectly with my Charles and Keith sling bag. I love how these irrespective of being pointy are extremely comfortable and easy to walk in. Love how sturdy they look. Also, crushing over that slight bling on the bag. It serves the right amount of shine I needed for this look.

It’s a very fine, workwear look. One can easily tuck in the shirt neatly and head for a meeting. Also, add a blazer in case required. Plaids are extremely easy to play with. If styled smartly, one can definitely pull off a print on print look. Plaids can for sure withstand any trend test and make your look go from a 0 to 10.

Pants: ZARA | Shirt: H&M | Shoes & Bag: Charles & Keith | Sunnies: Ray Ban | Earrings: ZARA

That was all from my take on plaids. Let me know if you’re giving in for this trend yet or you need any more convincing.

I’ll see you super soon!

LOTS OF LOVE!
