Living the Goan Life! #TravelDiaries

Hello hello, guys!

How are you?

I am super good and grateful to be doing what I do, cannot thank you guys enough for your constant love and support. For all those who’ve been following me on my Instagram know I visited Goa in the month of October and safe to say, I had the most amazing time ever.

Yes, I visited Goa for the first time and without denies it was everything that I’ve seen in pictures and read about in articles, if I had to describe it in one word- I’d say it was BEAUTIFUL– though it was a long overdue trip I made sure that I make every second count and transform all my experiences into beautiful memories that’ll stay with me forever.

I wanted to feed my soul with beaches and sunlight and sand and escape the crowds and savour some truly unique experiences while I was there which is why I tried incorporating some offbeat and some mainstream places in my itinerary so that I get to witness the best of both worlds.

I have penned down all the places that I visited during my trip, in case you wish to check them out too, Amongst everything else that Goa is known for, It also has some of the most fabulous places to eat and what better place than the shacks at the beaches that serve some mouth-watering delicacies.

ANJUNA BEACH

I visited the ANJUNA BEACH, to devour on some yummy food at Curlies as it is one of the most popular beach shacks in Goa, both among foreigners and Indians, and I wanted to discover what the hype is all about and without a doubt I can easily say that this place is the place to be, it has a pretty chill vibe, an energized ambience, great music, chilled alcohol and decent food. If nothing, you can simply just sit and relax and sip on some chilled beer.

MORJIM BEACH

Undeniably one of the best and most serene beaches in Goa, the Morjim Beach in Pernem, North Goa, is every nature lover’s dream come true. The Morjim Beach ensures that its visitors have a good time here and offers a couple of activities to keep its visitors entertained and spend time happily with friends and family. Talking of eateries, Goldeneye is the beach shack that catches the eye of most of its visitors.

BAGA BEACH

When in goa, go clubbing or go home! Had to step in my party shoes and go clubbing because did you even visit goa if you didn’t party? Went to Titos at the Baga beach to party overnight – skipped going to those mainstream overhyped clubs and I am glad I did because Titos was a lot more fun with a decent crowd and excellent music- couldn’t help but groove all night long. Also, ladies just in case you feel like partying- there are always a few offers for ladies to enjoy so make sure you do your research before hitting the club at night.

DUDHSAGAR WATERFALL

As Goa becomes rapidly popular with international and domestic tourists, supermarkets and restaurants can be seen opening up almost everywhere therefore to find my escape from the hustle and bustle of the Goan city, I decided to take a day trip to Dudhsagar Waterfall and it turned out to be a nice idea, It is the fourth largest waterfall in India, at a height of 320 meters and attracts tourists and nature lovers who come from all over the country to witness the waterfall’s glory. I had a good time, enjoying the water showers that sprinkled on me as I moved alongside the waterfall. However, I’d suggest you visit this place only if you have a considerable amount of time, you can totally skip it if you’re short on time.

SPICE GARDEN

Though I was very sceptical about visiting the famous spice garden since It was my first time in goa, I decided to take the leap of faith. However, the visit to a spice garden is for all those who like to indulge in learning something new and knowing better about the food, culture, and history of a place. The entry fees per person are ₹600, which includes a farm tour and a full-fledged meal prepared using the spices from the spice garden itself, how cool, isn’t it?

DOLPHIN POINT COCOA BEACH

Cocoa beach as the name suggests has a number of cocoa plantations in and around the beach and from here one can take a regulated or private boat rides and start seeking a glance at the dolphins.

FRANCIS XAVIER CHURCH, OLD GOA

If you want to witness the real beauty in Goa then churches in Goa are a must visit, I visited the St Francis Xavier Church, Old Goa. It is one of the oldest and the most famous churches in Goa, It holds the mortal remains of St Francis Xavier and is also listed as a UNESCO world heritage site. Best part, this church is photographer friendly much like other churches so you can go and get some beautiful pictures, just like I did.

PARRA VILLAGE

Parra is a village located in a sub-district in North Goa, I visited this village to get hold of the local Goan life and enjoy myself a hint of Goan culture and livelihood. The village is famous for its sweet, red watermelons. Alva Mar Restaurant also counts as one of the main attractions in Parra.

That’s about it from my trip to Goa, let me know what all places have you dropped in from the places I’ve mentioned, in the comments section below!

I’ll see you next time, until then XOXO
