Get ready with me for Rakhi

Hello guys!

Can’t believe it’s August already, 2019 genuinely passed by real quick, Just 4.5 months left until we enter a brand new year. Damn! Anywho, it’s Rakhi tomorrow and I thought- I’ll share a quick Rakhi look here on the blog. So here’s a quick #GRWM for Rakhi especially for you guys.

For those who don’t know, Rakhi aka Raksha Bandhan is a festival that celebrates the love between brothers and sisters. Traditionally, on this day, sisters tie Rakhi on her brother’s wrist, praying for his well being and safety while brothers vow to protect her but, in Today’s time there’s more to this relationship, we can consider it as a bittersweet relationship with Ferocious fights (even though if it is just about TV remote), unconditional support (covering up for each other in front of parents even if you are clueless what you are covering up for :P) and a promise of a lifelong friendship in spite of anything & everything.

Me and my brother we share a very beautiful bond, though we live apart from each other most of the time- since I am here in Delhi and my family is based out in Gwalior but it’s always such a happy feeling to have him around. We make sure we make every moment into memory whenever we’re with each other.

So excited to ring in the celebrations but before that let’s get ready, shall we?

For my outfit I’m wearing this beautiful flared kurta-dress from Ancestry it’s a gorgeous white number. It’s voluminous, has full sleeves and a round neck. It comes with a jacket/cape which is off-white in color and ties up in the front. The embroidery on the choli is subtle and looks very elegant. I absolutely love how the entire set fits, it looks absolutely great.

Paired this gorgeous outfit with some exaggerated earrings- that is again from the same color family as my outfit. Love how these earrings add that extra oomph to my look.

Also, teamed up a cute silver clutch and these silver heels to finish off the look.

For my makeup, have kept it subtle and nude- just how I like it and left my hair open with some loose curls that I managed to do under 10 minutes

That’s all for my Rakhi look.

I’ll see you next time. Until then, HAPPY RAKHI, from me and mine to you and yours. Love you guys.
