Winter wardrobe essentials! Sarojini Nagar Haul

Well, is it just me or do you even think that this year is sliding a little too swiftly? It was like yesterday, we celebrated New Years Eve and its almost February today. Gosh! I just can’tttt!

But well, you know what I love the most about changing times? It’s the changing fashion, fashion evolves at a pace- you – I – neither of us can ever get hold of it completely but it’s always good to blend in and incorporate a few trends that take your fashion game a notch up. I stalked a few our beloved celebrities in order to keep up with what’s trending and listed down a few items that I certainly feel can act as staples as well as elevate one’s fashion game.

After doing all the research, I went to Sarojini Nagar to dig out all that was there in my list and Oh boy! Was I surprised! I have to admit, Sarojini didn’t disappoint me at all and I had a blast shopping there. This year Sarojini is home to a few kickass/trendy pieces and that too at dirt cheap prices. You can spot a lot of Cargo jackets, Fur coats, Sequin dresses/tops/skirts, Cute Sweaters, Hoodies, Plaid blazers etc.

I’ve put together three looks using all the pieces that I picked from Sarojini, go check them out!

1. Oversized blazers

Blazers for me scream #BossBabe, like, quite literally. It looks like I was on a mission. It somewhere felt so empowering yet dressy both at the same time that I can’t really put my feelings in words.

Anyways, blazers are my most favorite thing about winters, they can be dressed up and they can be dressed down. You can suit yourself and put together an ideal outfit as per your requirement using your blazer. Like here, I have played safe and styled it with my blue denim and to define my waist a little better, I have DIY(ed) my Sling bag as a belt bag and worn it around my waist.  Also, I got this blazer for just Rs. 250 and I couldn’t be happier.
Looks perfect, doesn’t it?

2. Sweaters

A good quality classic sweater can work in your favor for so many occasions. You can wear it to work with trousers or a skirt, wear it over the weekend for a lunch date with your girlfriends with jeans and sneakers, and wear it on a date night with jeans and heels. Just make sure you pay a little more attention to the neckline you’re choosing and pick a style that is flattering for your body type. Like you can invest in high-lows/lace up/ bell sleeves etc.

Here, I have gone minimal and styled this sweater with my denim and a beret. I bought this sweater from a fixed price shop at Rs. 150 and I am in love with it.

Also, Wearing a beret is an excellent way to stay warm without sacrificing on style as it is that one accessory that can make any outfit look more put together and complete.

3. Fur cape

During winters it’s your outerwear that plays the most important role when it comes to your #OOTD and a Fur Cape/ coatis that one statement piece that you legit need. Its stylish, contemporary,  warm and precisely what you need to throw over your dress/sweater, etc. In order to keep yourself warm before you head for that nextparty on loop.
