Style your basics (Summer edition)

“VERSATILITY” is the jack of all trades. Being versatile for me is an extremely important factor whether it is in regard to the clothes that I wear, the accessories that I style, or the way I do my hair and makeup.

Versatility to me in terms of clothing is not about buying new stuff instead it is about using all that I already have and creating new looks. I like blowing a breath of fresh air into my already existing wardrobe so that I can create new styles without having to dig a hole into my pocket.

A few months back, I wrote a blog post talking about styling winter basics and y’all seemed to love it a little too much. Therefore, I decided to do a version 2.0 of the same and this time we’re styling summer basics.

What is that one thing that comes to your mind when you think of *SUMMER BASICS*?

Giving you 5 seconds – Think and Comment below.

The basics that I reach out for the most during summers is my white, cotton, button-down shirt and blue denim. YES! No matter how many fashionable pieces I have in my wardrobe, I always reach out for my most trusted and loved basics because there ain’t nothing better.

A white shirt is a real deal, it’s a closet staple that looks just as good with your work trousers as it does with your weekend denim. I mostly am a white shirt and weekend denim kinda girl so I created this very easy, fun, Sunday- brunch look

Got this very cute shirt with this very fun knot detailing on the collar, I absolutely love how it adds a certain newness to this very basic shirt and also not to miss the double button on the sleeves, this intricate element adds so much more to an otherwise basic shirt.

I styled the shirt with my flared blue denim, I have been obsessed with wide legged bottoms lately and this one specifically has my heart. The stitch detailing around the pockets is so fine and chic. I am a huge fan of the way it fits me. This style of jeans work great for petite girls, definitely get your hands on something similar on your next shopping spree.

Shirt and Jeans : Promod, Shoes and Bag: Charles & Keith, Earrings: Ali Express

I’ve added a personal touch to this look, with smartly chosen accessories, which includes these beautiful danglers, black pointed heels, and this very sturdy wine color sling bag. Also, styled my hair in a top knot, Love the way it looks, what do you think?
