Saree is that one outfit that I believe is here to stay and evolve for as long as the humans live. Thousands of years of Indian traditions are cumulated and woven into a Saree. It’s a six-yard-long garment that is woven from the yarn of mythological, historical as well as cultural threads. It has been a style staple for centuries, its ways and styles have changed and evolved to suit the current styles, and they’ll continue to evolve and change and that too without hampering the basic elegance and feminine delicacy of the drape, which certainly is the best part.
Saree manifests a lot of potentials to work with. It is that one piece of garment that has allowed people from different backgrounds to create discrete looks without questioning what shape/size/ color they are. It’s a blend of beauty and heritage that reminds one of cultural significance repeatedly.
Alongside cultural significance it has a lot of emotional relevance too, it allows people to bond in one of the most sought-after ways, one example that comes to my mind as I say this is – How a mother passes on her saree to her daughter, It’s similar to passing on her beauty imbibed with values to her daughter to take the legacy she forward which for me adds to the beauty of the garment.
Saree undeniably is one of the most versatile clothing items that one can easily pull of despite the odds. Thus, there’s a perfect saree for everybody in the room, it’s about how early you channel your love for it.
Like here, to fuel my love for wearing a Saree I’ve styled this beautiful turquoise saree that I’ve draped tad bit differently just so I can give a hint of personal style to it. To enhance the royalty of this look – I have kept accessorizing minimal and worn this long statement neckpiece along with a watch. For the footwear, I’ve worn these traditional slippers that have the right amount of detailing to them and to finish off this look I have left my hair loose and kept my makeup minimal just how I like it during the daytime.
That’s about it for this blog, Let me know what do you think about this look in the comments section below.
