INDIGO | No more fashion blues

Hello guys!

How are you?

I’m back with another blog post and this time, like I promised we’re keeping up with Ethnic wear and my love for Indian fashion.

To do justice to this series of blogs, I thought of exploring a few shopping websites selling some beautiful Indian wear and the one thing that stuck me after gazing through a couple of them was that “INDIGO” makes for the most relished colours – be it during summers/winters. It’s a versatile colour and looks absolutely stunning with every skin tone.

To go along with this trend, I am sharing some indigo color palette inspired outfits that’ll definitely elevate your fashion game this season.

For Look-1,

Saree: Jaipur, Blouse: Custom made, Watch: Emporio Armani, Earrings: ZARA, Shoes: Paharganj, Bag: Ali Express, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban

I am wearing this gorgeous saree with white motifs printed on it. It’s a simple cotton saree perfect for summers. Though the saree is fully printed but it still makes for an ideal summer pick because the choice of fabric is a lighter one and this is how you balance things out when putting together a look.

Moving on, I’ve styled the saree by wearing a brown belt around my waist and carrying my brown bucket bag along. To accessorise, I haven’t done much- just worn my all time favourite silver watch and these delicate earrings with blue stones in it. I’ve also added my sunglasses to this look, because glasses make up for the perfect accessories to take your Indian outfits a level up- specially when teamed with junk/silver jewelry.

Trust me, Shades and junk jewelry – together make the perfect combination and with minimal effort, you can stand out in the crowd.

For Look-2,

I am wearing this beautiful maxi dress that has an Ikat print to it.  For all those who don’t know, Ikat is a dyeing technique. It is one of the most ancient techniques of dyeing fabrics.

Kurta: FabAlley, Shoes: Paharganj, Necklace: Kala Chowk, Bag: Ali Express, Belt: H&M, Accessories: Janpath

I have a thing for Indian handloom, and wearing cotton clothes with these prints and patters certainly fuels my love for it.

To style this look, I’ve put my hair in a bun, added a scarf and tied the same belt around my waist as in the previous look. I’ve also layered these junk jewelry pieces around my neck and worn silver bangles that go with my neckpieces perfectly. To add slight colour to the look, I am wearing theses Kohlapuri’s as my footwear. They’re comfortable and bind the entire look together in the most amazing way.

That’s all for this blog. I hope you guys enjoyed reading it and got some inspiration on how to incorporate “INDIGO” in your wardrobe this season.

Please, let me how do you like this blog in the comments section below.

Until next time, XOXO

You have styled this amazingly well. That saree looks so classy and fashionable. And the maxi dress gives chic simple look. I love both the looks in blues.
