I picked the most unique outfit for a Haldi ceremony

Haldi ceremony is a party of its own- it’s an exciting event wherein family and friends come together and apply haldi on the bride/groom.

It’s a beautiful pre-wedding ritual that is religiously followed and celebrated with the purest of intentions. It is believed that Haldi wards off the evil eye, therefore allowing the wedding ceremonies to initiate on a happy note. Also, Applying haldi paste is a symbol of blessings, hence the elderly ladies who apply the paste on the bride and groom shower them with blessings of a happy and healthy married life.

The Haldi ceremony is one of the most exciting and important pre-wedding ceremonies during the wedding. Therefore dressing up for it is equally fun. If you want to keep things fuss-free and yet look stylish, then keep on reading- there’s a perfect solution for you. I picked the most unique outfit for a Haldi ceremony and I am sure you’ll love it.

Outfit: Fbb | Footwear: Carlton London

Styled this gorgeous palazzo and short kurta duo, both belonging to a slightly mustard shade of the yellow family. It’s a break away from the usual anarkalis and lehengas. It’s a more relaxed and beautiful looking outfit with gorgeous little flowers embossed on the kurta and self-check detailing on the pants. It’s an offbeat outfit and nothing of the usual vintage sorts. Instead of going plain it is always better to play with prints, hence chose the safest color with two completely contrasting prints.

I added perfect accessories to accentuate my look, went for teal tone earrings, bangles, and ring to complement the yellow in my outfit. Also added a waist belt to enhance the complete look. It’s a very sleek belt, nothing over the top-hence looks great with the entire outfit.

Also, do not miss on that beautiful necklace. It is graceful, has an ethnic feel to it with a hint of modernity. Love the design. This is definitely one of the prettiest neckpieces I’ve ever owned. For footwear, didn’t opt for something extraordinary- just another pair of flats that look wine with my outfit.

Lastly, for my makeup and hair- tried braiding my hair once again, but this time -I parted my hair sideways, braided them backward and tied both the ends together to get this look. It’s a very easy look and looks great for girls with short hair. For my makeup- attempted a smoky eye with a dark lip, since the outfit was yellow- I wanted to add a pop of color with the help of my lipstick.

Definitely pulling off this look for the next Haldi ceremony on the charts, let me know how do you like this look in the comments section below.

I’ll see you next time.

Love,

Monalisha
