Weekends call for some fun brunches, with your girlfriends. The best part about these brunches (besides the endless talks over the mimosas, of course) is obviously, getting dressed because you know, no girls day out/ brunch is complete without endless pictures and moreover brunch style provides us with the perfect Instagram photo moment- am I right/am I right?
To help you not decide between wanting a snack and looking like a snack, I am here to help you with the latter.
The basic requirement, while dressing up for a brunch is, something that you can throw on that looks effortlessly chic, and also has a touch of irreverence, because it is the weekend after all and you don’t wanna make it look like you tried real hard to get the look and no this does not indicate that you go out and shop every time you plan a brunch, no girl that ain’t happening. You just need to dig your closet, and while you’re at it, remember that you pick up something that’s 100% comfy, not indicating that you step out in your pajamas, but you get it right?
Ahead, check out two different looks that I’ve put together using my basics:
Stripes Stripes baby
If you’re looking to dress a bit more casual, yet still incredibly stylish, take note. Here for this look, I’ve styled this uber cool graphic tee, that has these horizontal stripes on it with a straight fit leather skirt. I’ve pulled my handbag along with this look that belongs to the same colour family and since, the text on my tee is red – it adds the right amount of pop of colour to my black and white look.To accessorise, I’ve opted for these dainty, triangle shape earrings and to finish off the look I have my sunnies on and not to miss my stilettos that compliment my nail paint.
Ready to slay , am I? Oh yes!
Day out in Dungarees
Are you still a big time? Kuch kuch hota hai fan? If yes, join the team.
This look right here is inspired by our beloved Anjali and No, I can’t hold the bolly buff in me back. So here we are!
Styled this uber cool black denim dungaree with a sea green sweatshirt underneath (can’t really recall wearing this colour anytime back but I love the way it looks on me). To accessorise, I’m donning the same triangular earring, Carrying the same bag as in the previous look and wearing the same heels as before too. Just swapped my sunnies for these red tinted ones and love how they pull the entire look together. It’s always a good idea to dress your overalls up with a bright colored tee/inner underneath them and when teamed with heels, you’ll look flawless. An ensemble like this one looks classy and polished for brunch.
This was my take on the outfits you can wear to the brunch with your babes, let me know what do you think and do tag me in your pictures if you recreate any of these.
I’ll see you next time! LOTS OF LOVE
